General notes on beginner.zone catapult “slangbella” glider models
To stay on the safe side, reinforce your model if necessary. If the balsa wood used for the fuselage is too soft or too light, glue an additional 12 mm (1/2″) linen strip along the entire length of one side of the fuselage. Fins should generally be attached using acrylic glue. Adding small hardwood “teeth” between the fuselage and the fin is also recommended, as this strengthens the joint, improves durability, and helps extend the life of your model. When launching your Slangbella model, hold it as far away from your face as possible to protect your eyes. Extend your arms fully when you are about to release the model. Always take precautions to prevent avoidable accidents.
